Introduction
This Cookies Policy sets out how Ruigen Pty Ltd trading as Ledgr Invoice (ABN 56 695 832 618) ('we', 'us' or 'our') uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.ledgrinvoice.au (Website) and in connection with the Ledgr Invoice service (Service).
This Cookies Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and disclose personal information more generally.
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time by posting an updated version on our Website. We will update the "last updated" date below and, where the changes are material (including if we introduce new types of cookies), take reasonable steps to notify you.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your computer or device when you visit it. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to keep them secure, and to give the website operator information about how the website is used. In this Cookies Policy, references to "cookies" also include similar technologies, such as local storage and pixels.
The cookies we use
We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories. The strictly necessary cookies below are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. The analytics and error-monitoring cookies are non-essential, and are not set unless you consent to them through our cookie banner. The table further below sets out each provider, what it does, and whether your consent is required.
(Strictly necessary) These are required for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They are:
— Clerk, which manages your authentication session (active for logged-in paid account holders only);
— Stripe, which secures payments and helps prevent fraud (active during checkout only); and
— Cloudflare Turnstile, which provides bot protection and manages CAPTCHA challenge state.
(Analytics and session recording) These are non-essential and are not set until you consent through our cookie banner. They are provided by PostHog Inc. (United States), which we use for product analytics, feature-usage tracking and session event recording. PostHog uses in-memory storage before you consent, and switches to persistent local storage and cookies once you consent. PostHog does not receive the content of documents you upload. See posthog.com/privacy.
(Error monitoring and session replay) These are non-essential and are not set until you consent through our cookie banner. They are provided by Functional Software Inc. (Sentry) (United States), which we use for error logging and sampled session replay (approximately 5% of sessions, and 100% of sessions in which an error occurs; it is not continuous). Sentry does not receive the content of documents you upload. See sentry.io/privacy.

Third-party cookies
Some of the cookies described above are set by our third-party providers (Clerk, Stripe, Cloudflare Turnstile, PostHog and Sentry) and are governed by those providers' own cookies and privacy policies. PostHog and Sentry are located in the United States; please see our Privacy Policy for how we handle the overseas disclosure of personal information.
How long cookies stay on your device
Session cookies are deleted when you stop browsing or close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them, which may be anywhere from a short period to several years. The table above sets out the expected duration for each cookie we use.
How to control cookies
Our non-essential cookies (PostHog and Sentry) are not set until you consent to them through the cookie banner displayed on our Website. You can choose to accept all cookies, or to accept strictly necessary cookies only.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page on our Website. Withdrawing consent will stop further non-essential cookies being set but does not affect cookies already placed before you withdrew it.
Most browsers also let you control cookies through their settings, including whether to accept them and how to delete them. Blocking strictly necessary cookies (Clerk, Cloudflare Turnstile and Stripe) will prevent you from logging in or completing payments and may mean the Service does not work properly.
